In advance of Yom Yerushalayim, the whole Yeshiva played host to Rav Yisrael Ariel, the head of Mechon Hamikdash and a renowned baal tefilah over Shabbat. Rav Ariel gave a number of shiurim and sichot and served as a sheliach tzibur. He also gave a fascinating visual presentation after Shabbat on the relationship between the Mishkan and the Mikdash. On erev Shabbat, the Overseas students had the additional opportunity to learn about Yerushalayim in another light, as they participated in a fascinating tiyul with Rav Benji Levine in Nachlaot, where he shared stories of his late grandfather, the saintly Rav Aryeh Levine, z”l.
