In the days between Sukkot and the winter zman (session) in Yeshiva, the Overseas program enjoyed an extended excursion to Israel’s south.  The annual tiyul, this year featuring a Shabbaton in the middle, was based this year in the town of Yerucham.  Activities included swimming, various hiking, a day of sightseeing highlights in the Eilat port, and a night excursion into the desert, in which the participants used special lights to seek out scorpions hiding in the sand.  Along the way, the talmidim spent time with, and heard sichot and shiurim from, Rav Stav, Rav Friedman, and Rav Bannett.
