In Memory of our Fallen Soldiers
Yechiel Paz (Zlutchevski)
Born on Rosh Chodesh Adar Bet, 5703, in Tel Aviv.
Fell in the Canal in the Yom Kippur War on Monday of Parashat Noach, the 26th of Tishrei, 5734
Yechiel, h'yd, studied at Yeshivat HaYishuv HaChadash for five years, and later at Yishuvei Sefer. In Elul 5721, he began his studies at Yeshivat Kerem B'Yavneh. His love for the Nation and Land of Israel stood out. He served in the army with enthusiasm, and he viewed reserve duty as a privilege to serve the nation.
He was a descendant of a family with deep roots in Israel. He continued his family's tradition of growing Etrogim, and he did this with the happiness of fulfilling Mitzvot.
Yechiel was a man of kindness and truth, who was always ready to extend acts of kindness to others and was therefore beloved by all his friends and acquaintances. He was killed in the Yom Kippur War where he was the commander of a tank in the western area of the Suez Canal. His wife, Ruti, continues to raise their three children in the ways of Torah and Mitzvot.
May His Memory Be Blessed
