Gavriel Ochana

Gavriel Ochana

Born on Rosh Chodesh Tammuz, 5717 in Casablanca, Morocco
Fell in the Tzur HaShani disaster in the "Peace for the Galilee" War on the 28th of Cheshvan, 5744

Gavriel was only a child when his parents made Aliya. He went to school at Yeshivat B'nei Akiva, K'far HaRo'eh, and, from the beginning, his special abilities stood out. Gabi, z'l, came to study at Kerem B'Yavneh in order to combine his military service with Torah studies. He was a very friendly and modest person, but despite his quiet ways, everybody knew about his good heart, his talents and his lucid way of thinking. He possessed an exceptional talent for writing, which is evident in the notebooks and Torah writings which he left behind.

After Gabi, z'l, finished his studies at Kerem B'Yavneh, he went on to the engineering school at the Technion in Haifa.

Gabi, z'l, was killed in the Tzur HaShani disaster on the 28th of Cheshvan, 5744.

May His Memory Be Blessed
